Terms of service
Last updated 7 September 2026. These are the terms Shine Above Window Cleaning works to. They are short because the business is straightforward: someone asks for a price, agrees it, and the windows get cleaned.
Who you are dealing with
Shine Above Window Cleaning, operated by Nick, in Charleston, South Carolina. Contact: shineabove6@gmail.com, (843) 277-5287.
Quotes and prices
The quote planner on this website collects a request. It does not book an appointment and it does not set a final price. Nick confirms the scope, the price and an available time before any work is arranged.
Work is priced per window rather than by the hour. Add-ons — screens, window tracks and sills, and upper-story work — are priced separately and appear on the quote with a figure next to them before you agree to anything.
The price you agree is the price you pay. If the property turns out to be materially different from how it was described — more windows than counted, access that was not mentioned, glass in a condition that changes the job — you will be asked before anything is charged, not billed afterwards.
A quote does not expire on a countdown. It holds unless the property changes.
Scheduling and cancellation
New customers are scheduled on Wednesdays. Existing customers are scheduled around the rest of the week.
Weather moves appointments and there is no charge for that on either side. If a storm lands on your date, it moves. If your week changes, say so and it moves. Reasonable notice is appreciated and is not a condition of anything.
Access and the property
Getting to the glass is part of the job, but some things have to come from you: unlocked gates where the work needs them, pets secured, vehicles moved off a driveway if a ladder needs to stand there, and a mention in advance of anything unusual — a conservatory, a courtyard with no ladder access, aftermarket window film, or original glass that needs care.
Older sashes, brittle glazing and aged screen frames are a normal part of working on Charleston houses. Where something is fragile you will be told before it is touched. If something goes wrong you will be told immediately rather than finding it later.
What is not offered
Shine Above does windows, screens, tracks and sills, and gutters. Pressure washing and other exterior work are not offered as standard — ask, and you will get a straight yes or no rather than a maybe that turns into somebody else on the day.
Where glass has been permanently etched by years of sprinkler or salt exposure, cleaning will not restore it. You will be told that rather than sold a clean that cannot fix it.
Payment
Invoices are issued for work completed, and are due on the terms stated on the invoice. No payment card details are collected through this website.
Text messages
If you provide a mobile number and agree to it, Shine Above may text you about your work — appointment confirmations, reminders and quote follow-ups. Seasonal offers are a separate agreement and you can accept one without the other.
Consent to receive messages is never a condition of getting a quote or having work done.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to stop at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How the underlying information is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Photographs
Photographs are sometimes taken of completed work. If you would rather your property was not photographed, say so and it will not be — before, during, or after. A request made later is honoured too, and the photographs are removed.
If something goes wrong
Tell Nick, promptly, and give a reasonable opportunity to put it right. Most things that go wrong on a window cleaning job are fixable by coming back, and that is the first remedy for both sides.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did, and the terms that apply to your job are the ones published when you agreed the quote.
